Sunday, October 30th, 2011 at 10:45 AM everyone is welcome to participate in a prayer service honoring all the saints, especially those represented in our icons. The third graders from the Parish Religious Education Program have been preparing with their catechists and Carmine Tabone to learn more about Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Martin De Porres, San Lorenzo Ruiz, and St. Josephine Bakhita our next addition. They have each also chosen another saint to whom we will pray in a traditional litany of saints.
As together we see the intercession of the saints for ourselves and for people in need, may we all be concious of being sent forth from Mass to be the hands and feet of Christ, committed to build the Kingdom here on earth. We thank our children for raising our awareness of the importance of engaging in works of mercy.
